Mexican–Dutch baritone Emmanuel Franco is acclaimed for his commanding stage presence, refined musicianship, and agile, bright voice, particularly well suited to the bel canto repertoire. A regular guest at the Rossini in Wildbad Belcanto Opera Festival, he has appeared in numerous Rossini roles, including Taddeo (L’italiana in Algeri), Dandini (La Cenerentola), and Bruschino padre (Il signor Bruschino).

Recent engagements include Figaro (Il barbiere di Siviglia) at the Fondazione Teatro Coccia in Novara, Juan de Eguía (La tabernera del puerto) with the Kraków Philharmonic Orchestra, and appearances with Ópera de Oviedo as Gianni Schicchi and Michele (Il tabarro). In 2019, he performed at the Wexford Festival Opera in Rossini’s Adina and in the world première of La Cucina.

Emmanuel Franco has worked with Naxos and appears regularly in concert and oratorio repertoire. He holds degrees from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music and the Dutch National Opera Academy.
