Artur Janda, bass-baritone, is a graduate of the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw, where he studied voice with Agnieszka Radziejewska and piano with Kazimierz Gierżod. He is a winner of the Franciszka Platówna Vocal Competition in Wrocław and the Jan, Edward, Józefina Reszke Competition in Częstochowa, and a recipient of scholarships from the Prime Minister of Poland, the Mayor of Częstochowa, and the Government of Lower Austria.
Since 2008, he has been a soloist of the Warsaw Chamber Opera, performing a wide range of roles in operas by Rossini, Mozart, Handel, Gluck, Purcell, Donizetti, Moniuszko, and Britten. He has appeared on opera stages in Poland and abroad, including Mannheim, Toulouse, Amsterdam, Gdańsk, Łódź, and at the Musikverein in Vienna (2022). Since 2016, he has worked with the Teatr Wielki – Polish National Opera in Warsaw.
Artur Janda has an extensive oratorio repertoire featuring works by Bach, Handel, Haydn, Mozart, Dvořák, Penderecki, and Kilar. He is a recipient of the Fryderyk Awards (2015, 2018) and multiple nominations for the Jan Kiepura Theatre Music Award.
