A Korean pianist and violinist of the younger generation, Hyo Lee performs actively on international stages. At the age of five, he began learning to play both piano and violin. In 2014, he moved to Moscow, where he was admitted to the Central Music School as a violinist and also started professional piano studies in 2016. After just six months of intensive piano training, he won a prize at the Astana Piano Passion International Competition (2017).
His accolades include the Grand Prix and First Prize at the Musical Diamond Competition in Moscow, 3rd Prize at the Arthur Rubinstein in Memoriam Competition in Bydgoszcz, and 3rd Prize at the Animato Piano Competition in Paris. In 2025, he was awarded 3rd Prize at the Long–Thibaud International Piano Competition in Paris. He has performed at venues including the National Philharmonic in Warsaw, Salle Cortot in Paris, and the Seoul Arts Centre. He regularly appears in piano duo with his brother, Hyuk Lee.
