Jacek Kaspszyk, one of Poland’s leading conductors, is Music Director of the Poznań Opera, where in the 2025/26 season he conducted new productions of Puccini’s Turandot and Sikora’s Dorian Gray to critical acclaim. With the Poznań Opera, he conducted a highly successful performance of Szymanowski’s King Roger at the Berlin Philharmonic, and a new production of the opera is planned for April 2026.

In recent seasons, he has returned to China, where he regularly conducts major orchestras, including the China Philharmonic Orchestra and the Guangzhou, Shanghai, and Hangzhou symphony orchestras. Other highlights include a highly successful tour of China with the Warsaw Philharmonic Orchestra, performances with the NFM Wrocław Philharmonic, and engagements in Ankara, Madrid, and Bratislava.

Kaspszyk has served as Artistic Director of the Warsaw Philharmonic Orchestra, the NFM Wrocław Philharmonic, the Polish National Opera, and NOSPR. He has also held the posts of Principal Conductor of the Noord Nederlands Orkest and the Deutsche Oper am Rhein in Düsseldorf.

As a recording artist, Kaspszyk is particularly recognised for his interpretations of works by Polish composers. His recording of Lutosławski’s Symphonies Nos 2 and 4 with the NFM Wrocław Philharmonic won the 2011 Fryderyk Award in the Album of the Year category; his EMI recording of Moniuszko’s The Haunted Manor with the Polish National Opera received a Platinum Disc, and his recording of Szymanowski’s King Roger with the Polish National Opera received praise from Gramophone magazine.
