Conductor

Principal conductor of the Radom Chamber Orchestra, cultural animator, and a member of the Vienna Philharmonic, Jurek Dybał conducts orchestras in Europe and Asia, including the Beethoven Orchester Bonn, ORF Radio-Symphonieorchester Wien, Tonkünstler-Orchester Niederösterreich, Concerto Köln, Sinfonia Varsovia, the NOSPR Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra, NFM Wrocław Philharmonic, as well as the orchestras of Kraków and Silesian operas. Having served as the artistic director of Camerata Vienna Milano and Sinfonietta Cracovia (2014–2022), he currently leads the Ukrainian Freedom Orchestra (NUSO) in Poland.

Jurek Dybał’s repertoire ranges from Georg Philipp Telemann to Krzysztof Penderecki and Michael Nyman. He has conducted Polish premieres and first performances of works by Krzysztof Penderecki, including Adagio, Duo Concertante, Concertino per tromba, Ubu Rex, and excerpts from the opera Phaedra. His album Concertino received an International Classical Music Award. Dybał is the founder of the Level 320 Krzysztof Penderecki International Festival and a two-time Fryderyk Award winner. Recipient of honours from the mayors of Bytom and Zabrze, the Golden Mask, and the Jan Kiepura Award, he also active teaches at the Academy of Music in Katowice.
