Seth Schultheis is an American pianist based in London and currently an Aud Jebsen Fellow at the Royal Academy of Music. Fluent in a wide range of styles, he is also a committed performer of contemporary music.
He recently won First Prize and the Special Prize for Chamber Music at the 2025 Telekom Beethoven Competition in Bonn. He subsequently performed Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 2 with the Beethoven Orchestra Bonn under the direction of Dirk Kaftan at the Beethovenhalle New Year’s Concert, where his performance was described as “brilliant”, marked by “clarity and precision”, “refined sensitivity”, and “rhythmic vitality”.
Upcoming solo appearances include Musikfreunde Kiel, the Liechtenstein Music Academy, and the Young Stars of Classical Music series in Kirchheimbolanden, as well as a performance at the Frick Collection in New York with cellist Jason Ma. Later in 2026, he will continue his fellowship with the Aspen Contemporary Ensemble, before embarking on an eleven-concert tour across Germany with the Klassische Philharmonie Bonn and closing the year with a debut recital at Wigmore Hall.
Seth Schultheis received his degrees from the Manhattan School of Music and the Royal Academy of Music, studying primarily with Phillip Kawin, Solomon Mikowsky, and Mei-Ting Sun.
