Active since 2007, the Radom Chamber Orchestra (ROK) is a cultural institution of the City of Radom directed since 2017 by Natalia Majewska, with Jurek Dybał being its Principal Conductor since 2023. The orchestra has performed in Radom, Warsaw, Kraków, Katowice, Lusławice, and abroad – in Austria, South Korea, and Germany.
ROK presents subscription concerts and educational programmes for children and young people, and organises the prestigious Krzysztof Penderecki ARBORETUM International Composers’ Competition. It collaborates with festivals including the Ludwig van Beethoven Easter Festival and the Mikołaj of Radom Early Music Festival, and appears at international guitar and music festivals in Poland and abroad.
The orchestra has performed with soloists and conductors such as Krzysztof Penderecki, Sergei Nakariakov, Łukasz Borowicz, Lidia Grychtołówna, and Yaniv Segal. Its recordings include the album Grażyna Bacewicz – Works for Chamber Orchestra, Vol. I, which has won awards from Scherzo and Diapason.
